Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from a recognized university.
- Students should have a minimum of 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant subject.
- Students have 3 years working in sports development, leisure management, or coaching.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

- Visa nationals and non-visa nationals whose program of study lasts for more than six months must not attempt to travel to the UK without a valid student visa.
- Student can apply for a student visa to study in the UK if he/she is 16 or over.
- The student should have been offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor and should have enough money to support him/her and pay for his/her course - the amount will vary depending on the student’s circumstances.
- Should speak, read, write and understand English and have consent from their parents if they‘re 16 or 17 - need evidence of this when applying.
Career and Placement after Course
- The MA Leadership in Sport offers excellent links with industry professionals. For students who are not currently working in the industry but studying this degree, the course will give them an excellent opportunity to work with a range of partners.
- The college has links with nearly 50 organizations in sport many of whom support students with placements, research projects, and mentoring.
- For those who are already working in the industry, it is hoped that the course will offer additional networking opportunities and sharing of ideas via informal discussions, which can provide huge added benefits on top of their formal learning.
- Work-based learning is embedded throughout the course with particular emphasis on the Professional Work Based Development module, where students will work with an employer for 140 hours.
- For students who are already working in the industry, this could either be with their existing employer or an alternative employer. For students who are not currently working, placements will be arranged to enable them to gain experience in their chosen role.
