The programme is interdisciplinary in its scope, and provides students with a range of opportunities to analyse and create theatre and performance in relation to a wide variety of critical contexts and cultural and historical perspectives.

You will benefit from our expertise in five main strands in theatre and performance: cultural politics; transnational practice; experimental practice; applied practice; and cultural industries. Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a unique number issued to students by Queen Mary which allows students to apply for a student visa with the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) service. When we issue a CAS to students, they are confirming that Queen Mary will sponsor their studies in the UK. Students must have a CAS from Queen Mary to be able to apply for a student visa to study here.
To request a CAS please select the CAS and Immigration tile in the applicant portal and follow the instructions. Students will not be issued a CAS until they have firmly accepted an unconditional offer, paid any required deposit and the CAS issuing window must be open. Students can apply from overseas up to 6 months before your course start date.
