Ancient History BA degree students can explore a huge range of diverse periods, countries and cultures. Students can study topics to suit their interests – from the earliest Greece to Rome and beyond, and right up to the influence of Classics on modern history and current affairs. The course also covers a vast geographical area, from Roman Britain to the Black Sea, Persia, Egypt, and North Africa. While they will focus on the historical modules, they will also have the opportunity to learn Latin and/ or Greek and explore study areas in literature, art, and philosophy.
