  • The size of the department means that we can offer a range of optional modules on topics from politics and philosophy to chivalry in medieval France, via the history of the French language and postcolonial Francophone cinema.
  • The translation is an integral part of the course from students first year, providing an opportunity to specialize in this area if they want to explore this as a potential career path. This four-year course includes a year abroad.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must have proof of their senior secondary school transcripts with a minimum B average.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Students need to have Standard XII qualification with 60-85% overall average, including 75-90% in two relevant subjects.

Language Requirments:

  • Students require GCSE: English Language at grade C (4) or above, or an appropriate English language qualification.
  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
