- BSc Microbiology has a strong practical basis, and students will learn a wide variety of techniques such as microbial genetics, biochemistry and propagation.
- During the final year students will have the chance to spend three months working on an original research project of their choice. Recent projects have included the molecular engineering of viruses, and the mechanisms of bacterial pathogenicity and host colonisation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have a BBB, including grade B in A level Biology and a second science.
- Acceptable science subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Statistics, Psychology, Geography, Environmental Studies, Applied Science, Geology.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed 12th grade from recognised institution.
- Applicants must have a grade B in A level Biology and a second science.
- Acceptable science subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Statistics, Psychology, Geography, Environmental Studies, Applied Science, Geology.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
