Remarks

I'm from the 2020 batch (COVID) I had given JEE Mains and could not secure a very good rank to get NITs or IITs I had a few friends who were in VIT and had put in a very good word for it as well. This made me consider VIT and I got an admission there on the basis of my boards percentage and jee main marks. That particular year there was no VITEEE being held which is the usual process for admission normally.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

A typical class has around 40 students with a girls to boys ratio of 40:60 in the campus. Vit is a melting pot of culture with people from all over India. There are a lot of people from gulf as well, and it's very diverse there. Coming to peer learning that happens when projects are involved in the subject as team participation is there. An ECE student there typically works on 6-7 big projects during the 4 years that are included in the curriculum. There are no marks for class participation and yes students genuinely attend classes for learning because VIT has a continuous academic pressure over the semester and one needs to stay in touch with the topics that are being taught otherwise there's a high chance of getting bad grades in that subject

Internships Opportunities

4

This year the market hiring scenario was not that great that is why only 70 percent students got placed out of which the poo conversion was very good and companies like Socgen, Accenture, Flipkart, BlackRock etc all had come for hiring. On an average 7 out of 10 convert internships for ppos with a good package There are different range of packages offered at Vit Regular - upto 5 LPA Dream - 5-10 LPA Super dream - 10 LPA above Average stipend offered would be around 25k per month for interns And one more thing we observed was that most of the companies from South had come for hiring. The amount of North branches were lesser.

Placement Experience

3

The placement training starts in February and the season goes on till the 8th semester ie May next year. The process is very transparent in which you'll get a mail from companies about their offer and hiring process. First would be the ore placement talk which is either conducted online or in anna auditorium. Then if shortlisted you'll go through interview rounds and selected based on that. Average CTC would be 5-6 LPA according to my knowledge and mass recruitment companies that come to VIT are Ion trading group, Accenture, Capgemini, TCS, cognizant. They pay around 4lpa. Ion pays exceptionally well (14LPA) but take up a lot of people. The companies students aim here for are Bain and co, Flipkart, Zs associates, Moody's analytics, BlackRock, etc these companies offer amazing compensation and have a very good growth prospect for the students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure is as following - Based on your rank in the councelling you get a catagory alloted for every branch. I had got catagory 5 for ECE in Vellore campus. My tuition fee was 5lakhs per year. Catagory 5- 5L Catagory 4- 4.5L Catagory 3- 3.5L Catagory 2- 2L Catagory 1- 1L The hostel and mess fee depends on the block you opt for and number of people in your room. Single occupancy AC room- 1.3L/year Single occupancy non AC room- 90k/year Double AC - 1.1L/year 3 Non AC - 70K/year 3AC - 1L/year And so on For mess there are 3 types of mess Veg mess- 40k/year Non veg mess- 50k/ year Special mess- 70k/year All these prices are an approximation based on my memory from the 4 years I lived there.

Campus Life

5

Campus infra is amazing they have all the facilities - 1)5 Gyms in campus separate for girls and boys 2)Pool snooker table above allmart 3) karate coaching 4) badminton indoor courts and outdoor courts in 6 blocks 5) swimming for both boys and girls seperate 6) 2 Libraries VIT has more than 5 auditoriums and all are top notch, the library is very well equipped and you can get any book that is there in the curriculum. Medical centre is called chettinad centre and has an ambulance facility that takes students from their hostel to the medical centre. Overall the campus life is amazing there even with the in time restrictions. Students go out in the day time, there is a movie hall nearby and if you take an auto you can go to the mall as well. It's a very lively place outside the campus. About the club's and chapters I have already mentioned in my previous answers but will say again. I was the internal secretary of the music club and there are clubs and chapters for dance, drama, IEEE, munsoc, robotics, aisec etc. One has got so many options.

Hostel Facilities

4

Girls and boys hostel is separated by a trian track and has academic blocks in between both. There are 19 blocks in the men's hostel with a new block being built currently (S and T block). For girls there are 8 blocks and one new block is being constructed there as well. Hostel in time for boys is 9pm and 8: 30pm for girls. But girls have to get back in campus by 7pm which is very less. I have answered regarding the mess fees and other details in my previous answer. All the hostel blocks have a mini canteen on the ground floors and have access to night canteen as well which is open from 10:30pm to 12:00am. The campus has more than 4 cafes that have subsidised prices and are very affordable. Outside the campus there are a lot other options to eat. You'll get everything at a stone's throw distance from the campus. The mess food is decent and they have a wide variety in the menu. The hostels are very safe and have guards and wardens on the round all the time.I've given all these answers in the previous pages. Regarding the washroom it depends on the type of block but one bathroom has approx 3-4 Western style washrooms and one Indian, and has 5 urinals. All these are shared by 10-15 students. Although the new blocks have better bathrooms and have more number of washrooms

Exam Structure

I am not aware of the ranking system in VITEEE as my batch got admission through JEE Mains and boards Percentage. VIT does not have any management quota. Vellore campus>Chennai campus>Bhopal>Ap> Bangalore campus During the campus councelling one will get catagories alloted that have different tuition fee as I mentioned in my previous answer. Try getting a decent rank in VITEEE and I don't think catagory 4 or 5 is worthit for any branch and campus

1.Course curriculum is easy. People can pass easily with the notes given by teacher during classes.students get backlog in exam if they haven't studied properly or if they don't have proper attendance.you are only allowed to give examination if you have 75%attendance. 2.Good aspect is that the courses are easy but the bad aspect is that it is majorly theory based and not practical. 3.There are two exams per semester . One is mid term exam for 20 marks in between our semester and second is end term exam i.e final exam for 70marks.other marks are internal marks based on our attendance, assignment and mid term. 4.Generally we have 4-5 classes on daily basis and we get some class gaps in between but college run from9:10 am to 5 Pm. But generally our classes gets end till 4 pm. 5.faculties teaches us with the help of PPT. 6.The teacher I most admired is Shilpa Pandey ma'am and suchita panda ma'am as both of the teacher are sweet, linient and their way of teaching is very good. 7.I don't admire Gazala ma'am as she shout very much and she is irresponsible. 8.there is a mandatory attendance criteria that is 75%.you are only allowed to give examination if you have 75%attendance.

Placement Experience:

MBBS colleges don't have final placements. Students finish their degree, and they sit for NEET-PG, which is another exam that one must qualify for in order to get a PG seat in India. Students opt for other options like pursuing a Residency abroad. And there are very few students like me who would prefer to do an MBA.

Placement Experience:

Final placements at VIT typically begin at the end of the 6th semester or early in the 7th semester, and the process can extend until the end of the academic year, often concluding in late spring or early summer. While a high percentage of students secure placements, a small proportion may remain unplaced by the end of the official placement period. The college takes additional measures to support these students, including organizing extra placement drives, workshops, and one-on-one counseling sessions to enhance their employability. The average CTC offered can vary widely, with an average around ₹6-8 lakhs per annum, while the highest can reach up to ₹40 lakhs per annum and the lowest around ₹3-4 lakhs per annum. Preferred companies for various courses include top tech firms and multinational corporations, which offer average CTCs in the range of ₹10-15 lakhs per annum. Companies that hire in bulk typically offer CTCs in the ₹6-8 lakhs range. The placement committee plays a crucial role in coordinating the placement process, liaising between students and companies, and ensuring a smooth process. While the placement process is generally considered transparent, some students may feel that certain aspects could be improved for greater clarity.
