NIT WARANGAL CLEAREST REVIEW

Remarks :

I'm Koushik currently an undergrad pursuing a btech in electrical and electronics engineering at Nit Warangal. I got here through the admission mode called josaa, which is a counselling-making community that enables students to join different top-level institutes in India for different levels of graduation courses. I took an entrance exam called JEE to get into this college. since I'm from the EEE department, the cutoff for this specific branch in my respective year of admission(i.e. 2023) is 9,000 CRL in general.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Currently an undergrad at Nit Warangal. The student ratio in our college is more or less 4:1. Almost all the faculty hold a Ph.D. degree. Coming to the exam difficulty, it's fine one can manage to pass out with a good grade

Internships Opportunities :

Top companies like GOLDMAN SACHS, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, and so on offer good packages and recruit students on a huge scale. internship opportunities are also quite good, students start doing their internships from the beginning of their third year.

Placement Experience :

the campus placements are awesome here, 94% of the undergrads hold jobs by the end of their degree. even packages are high, the highest package in the recent session(22-23) is 88lpa, and out of 1400 people who placed on the campus recently, 450+ students placed with 20+ lpa. The average package for our branch EEE is 22lpa and for CSE it is 32lpa in the recent placement drive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost to study is a bit affordable compared to the other institutes in the country. Scholarships are provided to the students on their performance in the semester exams. Campus placements are good enough, and comparable with the top IITs.

Campus Life :

NIT Warangal is famous for its campus life and placements. There are about 30 clubs on the campus that are active all the time. Mainly there are two fests conducted on the campus excluding frequent DJ nights and some extra circular activities conducted by the clubs and alumni. the main two fests are TECHNOZION and SPRING SPREE. technozion is a technical fest celebrated in December and Spring Spree is the grand fest of our campus which is done in April.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is quiet below the upper edge but the campus life is awesome here. For the first years, one single room is allotted to two persons. Coming to the mess part, it is a bit above average level, since people get bored of one single type of cooking style right?

Most of the students opt for core electrical jobs eventually and very few move out of this zone. Packages are upwards of 30 lpa on average and the highest package was around 60lpa overseas(Japan). A few of the students also go for MS, mtech or upsc after completing btech

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this to get a degree in computer science which I thought would be better for me. The course curriculum is good as of now. The faculty-and-student ratio is okay too. But all of the faculty here are contract-based I suppose but are of good knowledge. The faculty inspires students to gain knowledge and motivates them to be independent as much as possible. They train students to be disciplined and are strict in that term. The teachers are also well qualified and of a good experience. The term exams got postponed due to the weather conditions and state holidays but apart from that, every other exam is conducted timely. But I would blame the correction for the pass percentage of the students from the university, though you would find the paper to score well.

Great placement was there, but the packages were a bit less due to the recession. placement percent is around 98-99%. Many students go for higher studies, I am also thinking of doing MBA or preparing for UPSC. The highest packege this year was around 70-72 lpa.
