Remarks :

You have to qualify for JEEMAINS with a good percentile. It was nearly 98.00 approximately. Since my rank was 18452 and am a general candidate I got admission with electrical engineering at NIT Durgapur through josaa counselling. Everything was arranged by JOSAA without a hinge.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good. I personally think that electrical engineering has evergreen opportunities and it's interesting too. Faculties here are knowledgeable and easier to approach. The faculty ratio is 1: 80 during lectures but after that, if anyone has doubts they clarify them personally. Exams are timely and they are quite up to standard since it's a bit hard papers out there.

Internships Opportunities :

Our internships come with a nice stipend and good experience. Texas Instruments and others give ppo i.e. preplacement offers if one performs well during his or her internships. One has to have a good resume and skills to crack the internships.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements and from the 4th semester, they are eligible for internships. Many companies like Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Jhon deere, Amazon, L&T, and many more come with lucrative ctc. The highest package went around 79 lpa the previous yr on campus and 15 lpa was average. 97% of students were placed from all the branches. After my completion of btech degree, I want to pursue an MS abroad or do Mtech in IISC or any good IIT.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is harsh for general non-ews candidates since it is 78000 per semester. But for ews students and other category students, it is fee-friendly. It is approximately 18000 per semester. And for other courses like int. Msc the fees are less too.

Campus Life :

Our annual fest is Recstacy. And our techfest is Aarohan. The first one is conducted in November and the latter in January. Our library has an extensive collection of books from various domains and journals. Classrooms are centrally air-conditioned and well-equipped with smart boards along with green writing. Our college has various clubs all Equipped with their own website and social media handles. They organize various events throughout the year to keep the campus bustling. A few exemplary clubs are IEEE SB nitdgp, Literary Circle (LC), EDC, MUC, STROKES and many more.

The Good college and very good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good on the campus GKCIET especially trains and encourages the students to sit for internships and placements. A student is eligible to sit for the internships at the beginning of the third and placements from the beginning of the third and placements from beginning of the final year .. a student can manage to get a PPO after completing the internship in the 3 rd which is also encouraged by the student. The other criteria regarding placements and intership are quite well-defined in the GKCIET

Life in Durgapur

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the profile came to know that the professor of this college is very good for the mechanical branch the faculty and student ratio is good for the study of the student qualification of the faculty and review teacher is like that they are good in English and they no proper way of teaching the timing of the term of the exam is first exam is midterm in which the question is of 25 marks and we have to give at least 20 marks answer it is conducted after 3 months of the beginning of the course and after the midterm exam there is another in term exam.
