My experience in GMC

Remarks :

NEET is the exam that has to be given to get into a medical college in India. I took my NEET after 12th standard and got an AIR of 7080 with 650 marks. The cut to get into a govt medical clg in my state was around 500 marks. I am a general candidate, so barely managed to get into the top govt clg of the state (got it in the second round of counseling). Overall the counseling process was pretty smooth except for the fact that there was a delay of around 1 month in my state.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose MBBS mainly cause I hated math. So far, this course has been fun and at the same time hectic. There are around 50 faculty and PGs serving 250 students which gives each student enough resources and time to ask doubts.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee in my college is around 12000 per year. This is a huge perk of getting into a govt clg. Meet scholarships are available for students but they are to be availed through govt schemes and not directly through college.

Campus Life :

We have a huge campus but the infrastructure is not that great given that it's a govt college. Coming to fests and social life, we have a decent record in that, but being in mbbs, it's hard to maintain the same balance throughout the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good as we expected. There is no stress about the studies. The college faculties are so good and they are very qualified. We have a student and faculty ratio of 10:3 in the college. Most of the faculty are well-qualified in their specific domains. There will be a ton of exams held in the college. Every month we get internals and externals there will be a slip test every week which adds value to the semester-end exams. The exams are based on the semester. And there will be one semester per year.
