Every doubts clarified for MAIT

Remarks :

The admission process is based on the JEE Mains exam, where you get some rank and based on that seats are allotted to this college. The counselling process is done by GGSIPU, that is IP University, Delhi. The application form is available on the same GGSIPU Website and we have to apply from there only. There are certain reservations according to GGSIPU Rules and regulations from which the main reservation includes Delhi reservation as 75% of the seats are reserved for candidates applying from the Delhi region, along with various caste reservations, economic reservations are also there. , I didn't avail myself of any of the reservation benefits because I did my schooling in Haryana and I was a general Haryana candidate. Improvement that I would like to see is that the admission process is very time-consuming, it almost takes a week to just show the result for one round of counselling and there are 5 6 rounds of counselling sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason for me to choose this course was to get a decent private job in a good mnc, and particularly this college because it had a good average package, and in my rank, I don't think I could've got better than this. The student ratio is very good if we see the overall college because it includes other courses such as BBA, LAW, etc. that are a part of the MAIMS Building. In MAIT particularly, the gender ratio is not very good, for example, there are 5-6 girls in a batch of 60. Faculty are okay considering the fees and reputation of the college, we have to make efforts of our own for coding and placements. timely exams are easy considering I have my friends in NITs, compared to them our exams are on the easier side, we can get a good cgpa in a week of studies or two.

Internships Opportunities :

I haven't done any internship in my college till now, currently I am in the learning phase, as I am in the 3rd semester and we don't get offers right now however I do plan on doing internships in 5th semester when I'll be eligible for it.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible from the 5th semester of their Btech course for internships and for placements companies start coming from the end of the 6th semester. To be precise, the name of all the companies are tough to tell but I've my seniors doing internships in Adobe and they got PPO too, they got on campus offers and exact details of companies coming is impossible to tell as our college doesn't segregate companies the basis of on and off campus, so its hard to tell, but our college has a decent alumni network that helps in getting internships and placements. All the placement details are visible on the pdf available on the mait college website. My plans after getting a degree are to get a good role in some reputed company whether it be on campus or off campus because I've been doing coding from the first year only as suggested by my seniors and maybe I can use the benefit of an alumni network of our college for getting referrals for interviews.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For the first year, the fee was 1,65,000 and for the rest of the year, it is around 1,45,000 which totals 6,50,000 for the total course, which is very moderate, as compared to NITs or good private colleges. College does not provide scholarships but scholarships can be availed from the Delhi government. I am not taking scholarships but few of my friends do, so I don't have much idea about this. And I am in 2nd year of my degree, so I can't tell you much about internships but I have seniors who got decent internships on campus.

Campus Life :

was this is a low fees private college, we don't get fest as such on a large scale like other colleges like DTU and USICT, but an annual fest is organized in our college, but that fest is on a very low scale, and as a college can't afford to organize such huge level fests. The fest was organized in the months of June and July. Our Library is decent, it is a 4-floor building and has tons of books, it is centralized AC and the atmosphere is quite good as there are faculties present on every floor to maintain the discipline and decorum of the library. Classrooms are cooled as they are equipped with 2 ACs. Sports and extra curricular activities are not the best but can be said okay, can be rated 6/10. Some self-funded societies like CSI for Coding-related stuff and Robotics Society also exist.

Placement Experience:

In this competitive era, preparing yourself for campus placements is the most pivotal part of education. Earlier, most of the students ignored the significance of the campus placements and waved goodbye to the opportunities of getting selected by the company. But now, every year, you can observe hundreds of students taking active participation in the campus placement process. One of the advantages of campus recruitment is the assurance of stable job profiles in reputed companies. In India, the majority of campus recruitment companies often lower their hiring criteria for entry-level employment. However, if you are applying through an Off-campus or Pool campus placement drive. In that case, there’s much more than technical knowledge required to clear the interview as the scale of competition increases.
