Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose civil engineering as today the phase of development is very rapid and civil engineers are in high demand for the construction of various infrastructural projects and designing and construction. Every faculty here has Ph.D. qualifications from various reputed Indian institutes. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:45.

Placement Experience :

From the beginning of the 5th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like WIPRO, Microsoft, Infosys, Adobe, Amazon, and Morgan Stanley. recruit the college students. About 91 % got placed in the previous year. The highest package is 50 LPA and the average package is 12 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The students who are physically handicapped and students who belong to reserved casts like SC/ST will get a full tuition fee waiver. The students with family income below 1LPA doesn't need to pay tuition fee and students with a family income between 1LPA and 5LPA get a fee concession of 40,000 rupees. scholar ships like state or central-sanctioned scholarships, M-COM-MEANS scholarships, and SALE scholarships are available for students.

Campus Life :

Festember is the annual cultural fest of NIT Trichy which is celebrated for four days in the month of September. Tech fests like Pragyan are celebrated on campus. There are about two and a half lakhs of documents, reports, and volumes of journals in the central library. The library also contains 16,750 books in the Book Bank scheme. The facilities in the classrooms are sufficient for students. We have many sports like Badminton courts, Football courts, Swimming pools, Tennis courts, Hockey fields, and volleyball courts.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 18 boys hostels and 5 girls hostels. Each hostel was provided with a television, 2 DOT telephones, an aqua guard, a water cooler, a sports kit, and intercoms. The food in the is very good. The registration process for hostels is mailed to us every sem and we have to follow them strictly.

Hostel Fee : INR 65000 per year

Placement Experience:

There are placements for the students passing out but the jobs usually don't pay more than 15000 per month on average. The placements are not always equal to all departments like food technology department gets the most placements and biotechnology and other departments almost get no placements. The new management is doing a lot to improve the placement program.
