Remarks :
The first step towards admission is to apply online mode in the official website of MCC. Within a few weeks, you will receive an mail if you are selected for the course and within the time stipulated you need to pay the admission fees. The college releases the list of students selected for the course on their official website Eligibility: compulsory biology in your 12th grade
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had an interest in the research sector and wanted to go into the research filed especially in microbiology. Faculties in all the departments of MCC are really skilled and trained. In the Microbiology department, all the professors have a phd degree with a wide range of knowledge. The teaching depends on the teacher, some prefer the board and chalk method and others use the PPTs. There are two main internal exams and one activity with carry about 50% and your semester marks carry the other 50%. Exams are not so difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
For many departments such as Bsc geography, Bcom. BBA etc. it is compulsory to complete an internship before their 5th semester competes. Companies offered are Ford, tcs, Infosys, KPMG, Deloitte, Zifo, NatWest etc.
Placement Experience :
The placements begin in the second year. The placement cell acts as a platform that bridges the industry and the students of the college. The cell aids in organizing campus recruitment drives for part-time and full-time job offers across various sectors. The companies tied up are Infosys, Deloitte, CAMS, KPMG, Wipro, tcs, ramco and a lot more. The job opportunities are more for commerce-related courses. About 80% get placement with a decent package around 6LPA. But for the microbiology department no placements are available under graduation it's only available during postgraduation. I personally took up pg after my ug.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The average fee for the whole 3 years of course duration is about ninety thousand. Scholarships for especially minor and reservation candidates are available. Job opportunities for a BSC graduate are very low. Very few companies take up undergraduate students
Campus Life :
The whole campus is green, covered with lots of trees. MCC looks very beautiful during rainy days. The annual fest of MCC is called Deepwoods, which is usually conducted during February for 3 days. The library has plenty of books and gives a lot of knowledge. The ambience in the classroom is overall good. The students at MCC can excel in sports and extracurricular activities. A lot of opportunities around the year come up. Now an innovation park is being built for the students for their new innovations EHS club and scrub society are run by the students of the microbiology department
