Remarks :
One will have a written exam, group discussion, and interview for admission to MSW- HR in MCC. You can get the application form directly from the college by paying the application fees at the office counter. After submitting the application form, the selected candidates (initial selection will be based on your bachelor's degree percentage) will be called for an interview via phone.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This course is more practical than theoretical. You will have fieldwork every week. You don't need to be a bookworm to excel in this course. You have very good knowledgeable faculties along with you who push you to perform better day to day. The teaching process is also more practical and can be related to society. You will have 3 internals (2 theoretical and 1 practical) for each semester. It's easy to get pass but at the same time, it's difficult to secure above 70 marks in each subject.
Internships Opportunities :
From the first semester itself, you have the opportunity to do internships in various organizations. In the first year you will be doing internships in various organizations under the social work base and in the second year you will be doing internship in various companies under the HR base. In spite of this, you will be doing a summer internship for 1 month which should be done outside Tamilnadu. You also have 1 month of block internship after your 4th semester. The stipend will be based on the company on which you are doing the internship.
Placement Experience :
From 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placement. You have opportunities to get placed in various companies after completing this course. You will be visiting 'n' a number of companies during your course of study. You can also approach those companies for jobs. Also, you can ask help to your faculty to get you placed in a better job. The average package for this course will be 3 lakhs per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It can be said that the fee structure is a pretty decent one. You cannot find an MSW- HR course in an aided stream in MCC, it's only in the self-financed scheme (evening college). So you can't expect a fee structure as in the aided stream because in the aided stream half of the fees will be aided by the government whereas in the self-financed stream, full fees should be paid by you. But as you will be paying fees every semester that is once every six months it will be manageable. Also, you have scholarships based on caste and marks. So fees will be a manageable one only. You have many opportunities for campus interviews at MSW. From 3rd semester itself, companies will come to the college for campus interviews. And also you will be selected by the companies where you will be doing the internship.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is excellent in MCC. Your days will be unforgettable in this college. You will be having many fests in this college and DEEPWOODS is the big event that will happen in February. You will be having auditions for DEEPWOODS from the beginning of the college. Despite this, you will be having department events, social work day celebrations, freshers' day, seminars, soft skill training days, etc. Your classroom setup will be neat and lovely with a projector system. You have ample sports activities, scouts, and guides, NCC, and MCC are known for extracurricular activities. You have a lot of opportunities to go to other colleges and showcase your talent. You will be well-recognized for extracurricular activities and sports at MCC.
