Remarks :
Admission to this college is through JEE and DASA examinations and cut-offs vary according to your branch preference. I opted for CSE and its cut-off was around 14k lowest. As it is an NIT, 50 % of the seats are reserved for the students of the state in which the college is located. The admission process of the college itself is decent, after opting for the college in JoSaa counseling, you have to fill out an application form at the college website, and the notice and link are provided shortly after JoSaa is over.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have opted for CSE, and for the first year, all B.Tech students have been merged into a combined class which has been divided into 10 sections each of 108 students. The faculty is well qualified and great, they have good teaching experience and their method of teaching is more practical than theoretical which is far better. Exams are conducted every once or two months and the level is moderate to good.
Internships Opportunities :
The amount of internship opportunities available is not less but it also depends on how deserving you are for that because not all students get this opportunity. You can definitely apply privately but for campus, you will have to work hard.
Placement Experience :
Placements are good. Companies like Microsoft, Atlassian, Airtel, Google Flipkart, Oracle other big names visit our college. The average placement for CSE this year was around 26 LPA and the median is around 20 LPA. The placement percentage is around 80.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is decent and you can get scholarships, you just have to check for updates on the website about scholarships. There are a variety of scholarships based on different criteria. Financial assistance is provided for your ideas and projects by different alumni.
Campus Life :
First-year college life for boys is not that good because you will be under security 24/7 due to ragging, but for girls is not bad as they are not that restricted. You are not allowed to fests for 1st year and no club recruitments either. The library is good and has enough books for your needs. Classrooms are big and well-ventilated. The sports complex and Gym is the best but you are not allowed to visit for the first year. The city itself is beautiful and has a lot of places to visit. The overall campus life gets better after the first year.
