RAIGANJ UNIVERSITY REVIEW

RS
7.3 /5

Remarks :

For admission, you have to pass 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 60% in the subject applying for Honours. Admission is based on a merit list. No need to take an entrance exam. You can apply for admission through the Raiganj University website.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I was interested in Programming languages and computers I chose this course. Raiganj University has 22 departments organized into two faculties 1. Faculty of Science and Management 2.Faculty of Arts, Commerce & Law 90 permanent teachers of whom 58 have Ph. D. and 11 have M.Phil. Total academic staff 117 Total number of students 10632 semester exams are conducted after every 5-6 months. In my personal experience, the exams are not that difficult if you attend the classes regularly.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For a few courses, they have Aided and Self-finance modes. If you get admission in Aided mode the fee will be cheaper as compared to other Universities but for Self-finance mode the fee may be costly for you. But the University also offers fee aid to a few eligible students. You can only pay the fee through online (net banking, credit card, debit card).

Campus Life :

The annual fest is mostly conducted in December, and January month also known as RaiVarsi Fest. All types of books are available related to the courses in the library. The classrooms have large space. For a few classrooms they have a projector. You can join the National Credit Corps(NCC) and the National Service Scheme (NSS).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this bca course because in future computer application will be very demanding in the market. Faculty and students are rational is - 250:10000. Most of the faculty have PhD degrees. The way of teaching is very good if attending daily class then you don't need to study at home. There are 12 internals and 6-semester exams in BCA. Exams are not too hard if you are attending daily classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because I'm interested in computers and there is a vast scope for jobs after this course. In our college, the faculty: student ratio is well-balanced. There are enough faculty members compared to the number of students. Every faculty member is well qualified and their teaching method is also very good. Every 5-6 months term exams are held and if students study well, the exams are not so difficult to pass
