Remarks :
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are prestigious institutions of higher education in India, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of engineering, science, and technology. The admission process for the undergraduate program, also known as the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), in the IITs, is highly competitive and is conducted through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main: It is the first stage of the admission process, and candidates need to clear this exam to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and it is an online exam that assesses the candidate's knowledge of physics, chemistry, and mathematics. JEE Advanced: Only the top 2,50,000 candidates who clear JEE Main are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced out of which only 15000 students get the chance to study in iits including all the categories. The application form can be found on the website.
Course Curriculum Overview :
IITs are known for their world-class infrastructure and faculty members. I chose this course because it was the best possible course available to me on the basis of my jee advanced rank and also the electrical department of IIT Delhi is one of the best in the country. The faculty here are highly qualified and have done their studies at reputed institutions. Exams are conducted two times every semester and they are easy to pass
Placement Experience :
Placements at the IITs are generally considered to be one of the best in the country, and the institutes have a consistent track record of producing graduates who are highly sought after by leading companies in various industries. The IITs have a dedicated placement cell that works towards connecting students with potential employers. The placement cell at the IITs typically invites top companies from various industries, such as technology, consulting, finance, manufacturing, and e-commerce, to recruit students for internships, full-time jobs, and other opportunities. The placement process usually begins in the pre-final year, where companies come to campus to conduct pre-placement talks and written tests. This is followed by a series of interviews, group discussions, and other selection rounds. The placement cell at the IITs provides training and support to students to prepare for the placement process.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are set by the governing body and I think it is a bit high although the students with poor financial conditions get fee waivers it is high for students with a family income of just more than 9 lpa. There are scholarships given to students based on their financial conditions. Students can easily get loans from the banks available inside the campus.
Campus Life :
Life at IITs is very chill everyone is doing their tasks and there are a lot of things that one can do apart from academics like sports and cultural activities. Almost all types of books are available in the library. Students practice each day for playing in the inter-IIT sports meet
Hostel Facilities :
IITs provide hostel facilities if needed the quality of hostel rooms is not that good as the hostel rooms were built a long time ago. Basic facilities are given in the room but not AC. The food given here is above average but not the best. One can get a hostel while taking admission to the hostel.
