Remarks :
Eligibility: Through the JEE Mains Exam conducted every year. Cutoff: Around CRL 4000 to 5000 for B.Tech. in the CSE branch in JEE Mains. Reservation Benefits: Home State quota + OBC quota can help to land in this premier institute at certain lower ranks too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course so that I would get an opportunity to indulge in the new age of tech and become a successful computer engineer excelling in life. Faculty: student ratio is fine and you may have their time if you are seriously in need of some help. All faculty are M.Tech.+Ph.D. and are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Term exams of the first and second semesters were tough to pass as we had very little time for our semesters to complete because we had late admissions due to COVID.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies offering internships with stipends are Atlassian, Accenture, Visa, Goldman Sachs, and Walmart. These companies offer an average stipend of Rs.20000 to Rs.30000 per month. Generally, a major project along with at least two minor projects are required to diversify your resume to be recognizable enough by the HRs hiring the students.
Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester onwards, people start applying for internships. and at the start of the 7th semester, companies start coming to the campus for placements. Many big tech giants like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Oracle, and many more companies visit our campus for hiring. Around 95% of total students get placed by the end of the placement season. I will continue exploring the corporate field after getting placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is balanced and an average student will not feel much pressure for fees if he/she applies for the scholarships that come up every year in time. Overall fine in terms of cost to study. There are different scholarships, based on family income, caste-based, etc.
Campus Life :
ANNUAL FEST: CULRAV, is conducted in the month of April-May every year. TECH FEST: AVISHKAR, it is conducted in the month of nov-dec every year. Enough amount of books are available in the library to study. Classes have projectors with screens and ACs.
Hostel Facilities :
Our rooms in the second year consist of two beds along with two large-size tables and chairs. Also, a wall almirah is present in which there are three compartments. There are two windows, a tube light, and a ceiling fan in the room. Mess food is okayish, it can be eaten but you can't expect it to be of your type every day. Registrations for hostels are done at the time of admission counseling at the college when freshers come to college for the first time for their physical reporting.
