Remarks :
I took the JEE advanced exam and got a rank of 361 in it. The closing rank for my course in the open category was 429. You need to go through the jee advanced brochure to know more about the application process. The process is smooth enough and can be easily understood.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I wanted to continue studying maths. Faculty to faculty-to-student ratio in the first year is generally 1:300 for most courses. All the faculties have their doctorates from renowned universities and are expert in their area. They do not teach as well as coaching teachers but it's fine enough. Semesters are approximately three and a half months long and one mid-semester exam is held between the semester.
Internships Opportunities :
All the major companies are associated with the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi for internship. Students get their internship in the third year generally for three months. I don't have much idea about them as I'm a fresher.
Placement Experience :
I have just joined college so I don't have much idea about the placement scenario at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. However, from what I have heard from seniors it is good and all the top companies come here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The cost to study is nominal compared to private colleges. Many scholarships and education loans are available for persons in need. During the time of admission, banks set up stalls for providing education loans.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest is Rendezvous held in October and the technical fest is Tryst. The central library has all the academic-related books and journals a student needs. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and are air-conditioned. Excellent facilities are available for every sport and extra curricular activity. Many boards and clubs are run fully by students like BSW, BSP, Dance Club, etc.
