IITD summarized

Remarks :

Admission was through JEE Advance. Eligibility is 75 percent criteria in the 12th board. You need to secure a good rank in JEE advance. Rank cut can be seen on the official Josaa website. You can find all the details online First you need to register for JEE mains and if you clear it then you are eligible for JEE advance.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the course because I wanted to go to IIT Delhi and I could get the course based on my rank. I found the subjects of Chemical engineering somewhat interesting which I felt I could study in the coming years. Faculty are highly qualified but understanding concepts in lectures can be tough due to high pace, large classes, and requirement of high concentration. Each sem there are minor and major exams. Honestly, it's difficult to get a good grade because of course difficulty and high competition.

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies visit the campus during the intern season for every domain from SDE to quant to consultancy. Core companies also visit with and handsome stipend. Seniors also share tips and help on how to crack an intern.

Placement Experience :

Placements are great. In 5th sem companies arrive on campus for internship opportunities. Many companies also give the students PPO after completion of the internship. After the 7th sem is the placement season.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is decent compared to private colleges and financial assistance is provided at all levels. Many scholarship opportunities come and go and for low-income groups fees are also lowered so fees should not be an issue.

Campus Life :

Life on campus is very overwhelming initially. All the sports facilities are present on campus. There's a big central library for self-study and issuing course books. All the cultural clubs are also present.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel Facilities can be a bit of a concern. Accommodation in the initial years can be very congested due to the limited availability of space. Although once you get habitual it's not much of a concern. Mess food is great compared to others.

Placement Experience:

In this competitive era, preparing yourself for campus placements is the most pivotal part of education. Earlier, most of the students ignored the significance of the campus placements and waved goodbye to the opportunities of getting selected by the company. But now, every year, you can observe hundreds of students taking active participation in the campus placement process. One of the advantages of campus recruitment is the assurance of stable job profiles in reputed companies. In India, the majority of campus recruitment companies often lower their hiring criteria for entry-level employment. However, if you are applying through an Off-campus or Pool campus placement drive. In that case, there’s much more than technical knowledge required to clear the interview as the scale of competition increases.
