Remarks :
The admission process at MNNIT Allahabad was smooth. I applied for chemical engineering and took the JEE mains. This exam is held twice every year in the months of January and April. The application forms are usually out by mid-December on jeemain.nta.ac.in. I did availed any reservation for my admission but there are 50% seats for home state students and the rest 50% for other state students. Open seats are 40%, EWS 10%, OBC 27%, SC 15% and ST 10%. The open category students should score at least 27000 ranks in order to secure admission at MNNIT. And rest depends on the branch he/she wants to opt for. The admission process is quite simple but I i think should be more informed about seat filling and paying the initial seat acceptance fee because I have some students losing their seats because they failed to submit the seat acceptance fees.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Chemical Engineering is a very innovative and growing field. It has a lot of potential outside India so if you work hard enough, you will be very successful. The faculty is very supportive and the overall curriculum is not very hectic. Most have the faculties have a PhD in their respective fields. Exams are held twice every semester, first are the mid-sem exams and then end-sem exams and they are quite easy to pass. Even if you start studying a week before exams you can score very well.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are more for the circuital branches rather than non-circuitry. Companies start coming for internship roles from the 5th sem onwards. The companies that come are Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanly. with stipends ranging from 50,000 to 100000.
Placement Experience :
MNNIT is famous for its placements. There are endless opportunities when it comes to placements. In 2023 around 92% students got placed through the campu placements and all the top companies visit the campus. The highest package was 1.35 crores the overall average was around 21.30 lakh and the CSE average was more than 27 lakhs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The overall cost to study at this college is roughly around 1,18,500 rupees per semester So, there are a lot of scholarships for students who are in need of financial assistance and other than this there are scholarships based on the performance of students. Personally, I have not got any scholarship.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest is CULRAV and is held in the month of April and the annual tech fest is AVISHKAR which is normally held in the month of November. The library is fully equipped with books ebooks and journals. There are endless activities happening every day like quizzes or debates, writing and all sorts of different activities in which students can participate and learn a lot of things.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels provided to freshers and final year students are very great and have all the basic facilities and are quite spacious. The freshers get a triple sharing room with an additional study area while the finals year students get a single room. But the situation is not that great for second and third-year students because the rooms are very small for double sharing. The mess food is also not that great. The hostel fee is 12000 and the mess fee is 25000 per sem.
