Remarks :
To become eligible to take admission in electrical engineering at MNNIT Allahabad you have to secure a rank of at least under 13k thereafter you can go through the smooth counseling and admission process of this college. Any improvement for the college that I would suggest would to to expand the dates of physical registration for all candidates, not for any specific branch.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This is one of the top NITs in the northern region of India With a circuital branch it would become very easy to crack internship and placement rounds in the college as compared to the other branches. The faculty of Electrical Engg. department is a very controversial topic the old faculty are a bit tedious and want to follow the same pattern of teaching of years of age but the new faculty members seem to be very promising and good wise also. Most of the faculty members have graduated from India and many of them have completed their masters and Ph.D. from foreign like Germany, France, etc. In each semester, two times exams are conducted viz. Mid Sems and End Sems along with the end semester exams practical exams are also conducted for the practical subbjects. Difficulty in passing any course depends on the student and sometimes the professor. Nut most of the time you can pass easily in the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
Major companies offering internships are: DE Shaw with a stipend of 200000, Atlassian with a stipend of 150000, Goldman Sachs with a stipend of Rs 175000, Oracle with a stipend of 1500000, and other companies are Microsoft, Texas Instruments, and many more.
Placement Experience :
The MNNIT Allahabad has been known for years for its high placements in India. Last year there was the highest International package of Rs. 1.18 Crore per annum and the highest domestic package of Rs83lakhs per annum. All the major companies like Microsoft, Apple(Hardware), Goldman Sacchs, Amazon, DE Shaw, etc. Others are recruiting from the college every year with very good numbers. Almost 90% of students are placed every year from the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of MNNIT Allahabad is as follows: Semester Fees:- 92500, Hostel Fees + Mess Fees: 25000 It is compulsory to opt for a mess if you are a hotel-residing student. There is also a fess discount for students having income below 500000 annually The student having family income <500000 and above100000 have to pay only 52500 as semester fees and the students having family income below 100000 have to pay only Rs32500 as their semester fees. Besides this, some professors are willing to help poor students, and sometimes in crisis can pay their fees.
Campus Life :
Two major events are conducted in our college that are Culrav (The major cultural events of the college) and Avishkar(The tech event). The Culrav is the most astonishing event of our college. In this event, many competitions are organized in competition with the other colleges also. The Dance, Fashion Show, Drama, Art, Media, Photography, etc. and whatnot. Besides this, at this time you can see the face of our college. In Avishkaar basically, the event is focused on the tech. Robotics, Web Development, Coding competitions, Aero Modelling, Hackathons, and whatnot. In this event, you can show how creative and techy you are to the whole college.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel for the Girls is very good and is almost built new, equipped with almost all the latest technologies and besides this, the mess food is very good in comparision to other hostels. There are in total 3 hostels for the girls and 6 hostels for the boys in the college. The rooms for the boy's hotel are very large with the sharing of 2/3 persons. Apart from this, the quality of the mess food is good and eatable for the boy's hostel.
