Remarks :
The admission to MANIT Bhopal is done solely on the basis of jee mains marks. Through Jossa Counselling one gets a seat in the NITS. It is really one of the best NITS so you have to score a decent rank in JEE Mains. Foreign Students can appear in the DASA Examination to avail of a seat in the institute. But the admission is done through Jossa Counselling only. There are home-state reservations as well as category reservations. After the Jossa Counselling is over Physical Reporting is done at the Institute.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose ECE as my subject because it is one of the core subjects and is having very good oppurnities in the future whether in terms of placements or be it in terms of a good future. There is a good faculty-to-student ratio of at least about 1 teacher for every 30 to 40 students. All the faculty in the institute are Phd Holders and from the very first year, only senior faculty take the classes. The maximum teachers teach very well and make our practice numerical in the class itself. It is very easy to pass the term exams. A person requires more dedication to fail than to pass the exams. In all to get very good grades and cgpa you have to work hard a little bit.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are provided by various companies. I am still not eligible for an internship so I cannot share much information. You can even apply for self-internships like in DRDO and ISRO. There is also a ROLTA Incubation Centre to support startups and give them funding. There is also a Space Incubation Centre that lets you work closely with ISRO.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible to attend campus placements from the third year onwards. There are several top companies that come to the campus to offer placements. Amazon Flipkart Microsoft adobe are some noted companies. More than 95% of the students get placed and the majority of the rest go for post graduation and other exams like UPSC GATE etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Since it is Central Govt controlled College the fees hike is not that much. Even the fees are lower than many private institutes that are good. The cost to study is comparatively better than any other institute. Students can avail loans easily from banks since they get this college based on their merit entirely and we all know that JEE is not an easy exam. The college provides financial to the EWS category and SC ST category. The tution fees are completely forgiven for these canditates. There are campus placements plus internships as well.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very good except for the fact that there are several restrictions in the first year. The freshers are not allowed to. leave the hostels. It is to avoid any unhealthy interaction between the seniors and juniors (ragging). There are bouncers that provide the security to the freshers. The annual fest here is MAFFICK. It is the largest fest in central India. Techno Fest is the annual Tech Fest. Generally, MAFFICK is conducted at the end of the academic year in June or July. The Techno Fest is conducted in the month of October or November. The classrooms are very large. There are well-maintained projectors and microphones for the teachers as well. Sports and Extracurricular activities do not lack at any point. There inter inter-college competitions. Even within the college, there are inter-branch competitions. There is a very large sports complex with a gym although first-years are not allowed to go there . There are several clubs like INSPIRE, IEEE MSB etc, etc.
