Remarks :
You have to clear the JEE mains and then the JEE advanced examination. Application for Jee Main can be done through the NTA website and for Jee Advanced should be done through the official website of JEE Advanced. Reservations are available as they are on a central basis. No other means or criteria for admission. This is a national level institute so there is no state quota available. The admission process is a very smooth process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was interested in chemistry and the Department of Chemistry is very old and renowned and it counts as the top department of chemistry across the country. Faculty to student ratio in the department is very good compared to other departments. Professors are highly qualified they have a vast knowledge about their fields and have done multiple projects and research on the same domain. They are mostly PhD in their domain. We had end-sem and mid-sem and a few quizzes. If you go in understanding things in class itself you will not have to put more effort into passing these. These exams are unlike jee wherein you have to put in a lot of effort.
Internships Opportunities :
Opportunities come in 3rd year and the college council takes care of this and the college council is very helpful in the internship process. There are many students from the institute who upon completion of their internship receive placement from the companies. Opportunities are not limited to the tech background internship in various fields which are offered to the students.
Placement Experience :
Student become eligible for campus placements from their 7th semester. Everyday company that you can think of is there in IIT Bombay and there are some companies that only with IIT Bombay in India. The highest package goes around 4 crores and the average package is around 25 lakhs. Almost everyone who applies for placements is placed and a few students wait for higher studies and some prepare for management exams and some of them prepare for government exams so all the students do not sit for placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The cost to study is around 12 lakhs for a four-year undergraduate student There are various available scholarships. The central government and state government scholarships are available apart from that we have an alumnus scholarship. The campus has SBI situated right on campus in case you need an educational loan.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest is known as Mood Indigo and Techh Fest@IITB they both are conducted in December. The institute has a library that has a large collection of books for every domain It is a reading that is open 24/7 for students to read and carry on with their academics. The classroom is air-conditioned and there is proper connectivity between everything. The structure was well maintained and the maintenance takes place wherever required on a timely basis Sports and extracurricular activities on campus are world-class. The institutes all the sports that you can think of and IT has the world-class first structure to play these sports. There are various clubs in the institute. Such as literature rang and pixel vaani in sync style up. There are clubs for every domain that you can think of.
Hostel Facilities :
The room has an almirah and a fan and it has windows. It is properly ventilated and it they provide us with a table and bed. The room cleaning is done regularly and hygiene is maintained properly. The mess here are very good and the students decide what will be made. The registration process for hostel rooms is very simple and attached to be done at the time of admissions only and it is quite portable you compared to the outside as the institute is situated in Bombay. The washroom area is cleaned regularly and proper sanitation is maintained.
