Studying horticulture has many more benefits apart from having knowledge of farming and production. Anyone can have additional importance in other public and private sectors by availing of horticulture. The faculty and student ratio is 1:1. The quality of faculty is very good and they put in their efforts to make the subjects interactive and interesting to students. The minimum qualification is a PhD. The term exams are held twice in 6 months and the difficulty is average.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The semester fee structures are affordable and are paid at the end of each semester. There are no individual scholarship opportunities from universities. Campus jobs are available on average. Both public and private sectors come here for placements.
Campus Life :
Social life in bckv is below average in my opinion. A student freshers and an annual fest is held each year around Dec to January. The central library has a lot of book options of both old and newly published ones. They are very resourceful for both ug as well as research purposes. Classrooms are provided with smart facilities like projectors and air conditioners. An annual sports meet is held every year.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is below average. The rooms are provided with a bording of 4 people which is too much to accomodate there. Tables , cupboards and beds are provided. The meals are provided in the morning and evening. The menu is not much good. Hostels are provided along with the final admission procedure. Almost more than 90% students are boarders. Both boys and girls hostel are provided.
