BCKV review

Remarks :

There wasn't any entrance exam though you can get through the ICAR exam. My admission was completely based on my marks. Also, my university has max seats reserved for state board students few are reserved for other boards like cbse, and icse.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I felt this is a part of agriculture now our country is mainly agriculture-based so I felt it would be helpful Faculty: Student ratio is 1:30. There are almost 25-30 students every year and Agriculture has the max students of 120-125. Exams aren't very timely also we have to take a lot of exams as there are many subjects also there are midterms end terms and practicals.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees I feel are very nominal. Everything here is very cheap. Also you can apply for several scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Scholarships and all. Very affordable The cost to study is per semester 15-17K also hostel fees are just 1.5-2k. So your whole semester is nearly completed in 20k so I feel that's very cheap compared to the other colleges.

Campus Life :

The annual Fest that is conducted is known as Naihrit which generally occurs in January. Tech fest isn't conducted. Also, the fresher's program known as Nabarun is celebrated hugely. A lot of artists called it very fun. We have a central library which is open every day except Sundays and national holidays. Classrooms have smart boards and there are proper labs. Sports are held every year like inter-college tournaments. No social groups are run by students as per my knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am pursuing a Bsc. Agriculture as I came to know about the job opportunities associated with it. Faculty: The student ratio is poor because of a lack of recruitment in this sector for a long time. Quality of teaching is average because there are a limited number of teachers who could inculcate our interest in this subject through their good teaching methods. Others were just presenting slides and reading out the lines written on them. Random announcement of exams was frequent with only 40 percent syllabus completed in 3 months and 60 percent syllabus completed only 10 days before the exam. Moreover, there were midterm, endterm, and viva throughout 1 month and it was very hectic due to continuous 33 exam papers conducted at a time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

India is an agriculture-dependent country where more than 70% of the people are involved in agriculture and allied sectors, there is a huge scope for improvement and modernization. The faculty and profs are very helpful, no extra tuition is needed, library is available. Exams are not that punctual but moderately easy to pass.

I belong to an agricultural background. I have some field knowledge about agriculture. That's why I wanted to gain more knowledge in the agriculture sector. This is because I opted for this course. The faculty-to-student ratio is very good. Teachers are highly qualified and teaching method is also good. The term exams are difficult but as the teaching is good the exams are easy

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for the campus Placements. Various Seed Companies Fertilizers companies and many other private companies are visited and various offers are made. The highest Package was 720000 per annum and the average package was 480000 per annum. About 30 to 40 percent of students are getting placements. My plan is to take a placement offered by the Company.
