Remarks :
Admission to college is done based on your rank in JEE MAINS, through JOSAA Counseling or CSAB Counseling. The Jee mains exam is conducted every year in January and April. The college has 50% reservation for the Students of Madhya Pradesh and the rest for outside state students from Rest of the country. Reservations are also provided on the Basis of your caste for EWS, OBC-NCL, ST, and SC. The admission process is done by physical verification at the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MANIT being a College of National Importance has experienced faculties from all the branches. The faculties are highly qualified and have at least a PHD DEGREE in their field. The Faculties are generally classified as Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors depending on their experience and designation. The students use digital methods for teaching as well as traditional ways on board for a better understanding of the students. Manit has three tiers of examination every semester called as Mini Test(10 marks), Mid-term (20 marks) and End term(50 marks). The remaining 20 marks are given on the basis of your performance in class and projects assigned to you.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are provided from the college side for all the students. The companies visit the college from 3rd year onwards giving internships to the students during summer breaks for 1-2 months. Some internships are paid and some are unpaid but both provide adequate exposure to the students. Industrial visits are also organised by the college. The faculties also help the students in finding jobs and internships.
Placement Experience :
MANIT is not less than any other top institute in India in terms of placements. It has top placement as compared to other NITs. The highest package of 2022 was 82 lakh given by ATLASSIAN company to 9 students. 23 students were placed in Microsoft for 52 LPA. Mechanical had an average package of 10 LPA, Civil has an average package of 10 LPA, Metallurgy with 9 LPA. Almost 80% of the students are placed. CSE has an average package of 26 LPA Which is greater than Top IIT with almost 90% plus placement. Almost 250+ companies visited the campus during the placement drive of 2022.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college fees has many components like tution fee, Alumni fees, medical fees etc. The tution fee is 62500 Rs per semester and the total fee including all other components is 70500/- per semester. Rest Hostel and mess fees are taken separately. The students are also given scholarships from the government. ST/SC students are given a 100% waiver in tution fees. OBC/ GENERAL students are given scholarships based on their economic status. Below 1 lakh income- 100% waiver in Tution fees. Between 1-5 lakh- 2/3rd waiver in tution fees. Many scholarships are given by the government of Madhya Pradesh for local students.
Campus Life :
Manit is an old college so the infrastructure can be a bit old as compared to other new colleges but the administration is working hard to develop infrastructure rapidly. The college provides a hostel facility for students. There are about 12 Hostels, 10 for boys and 2 for girls. Manit has a very big library with lakhs of books which can be easily accessed by the students. Almost all the branches have their own building with a fully air-conditioned Auditorium. Manit along with education is also ahead in its fest culture. Amnit has several festivals taking place all over the year. Some main events are TEACHNOSEARCH(the technical fest), TOORYANAAD(the Hindi fest), MAFFICK(the cultural fest), E-SUMMIT etc. Several big celebrities are present every year invited for the fests. Last year Kailash Kher Sir and Ankit Tiwari were invited to IISF and MAFFICK respectively.
