Remarks :
I gave JEE 2022 and got 98 percentile and I opted for chemical engineering in MNIT. The admission process was very easy and convenient. JOSAA made it very easy. I am in the OPEN-GEN category. Overall MNIT is a good decent college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I opted Chemical department as it is an evergreen branch and I get much time to take part in other extracurriculars. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:15. Most of the professors are Ph.D. holders. The teaching techniques are decent.
Internships Opportunities :
Most students prepare for internships from the beginning of 3rd year and there are so many companies that come here every year for internships. There is more competition in internships than competition between placements.
Placement Experience :
Average placements of the college is about 12-13 lakhs whereas chemical's average package is about 10 lakhs. The highest package in chemicals last year was about 68 lakhs which was domestic. The chemical has placements 100%.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees of the college including everything like the Hostel, mess, and institute overall is about 2 lakhs 33 thousand. There have been hikes in fees for last two years. I find fees a little bit higher than other govt colleges.
Campus Life :
Infrastructure-wise, MNIT comes to the top of the list among the north Indian colleges. The annual fest is Blitzslag and the tech fest is Sphinx. Both the fest are very amazing and all the students take an active part in it
