The subjects of the BA programme in Ramjas College DU in the arts stream include History, Political Science, Philosophy, Maths, Economics, English, Hindi and Sanskrit.
You could select any two as main discipline subjects from the mentioned subjects for a BA programme. There will be a total of 4 subjects each semester. Sometimes it also depends on your merit list.
This majorly depends on the college you are studying and the scope of the subject you are pursuing. This will vary from person to person, as their preferences will differ from one another.
One of my friends studied at Patna University for UG courses. As per him, the academics and faculty are neither good nor bad but have maintained an average performance overall. Patna University is mainly popular for its department of English Honours. They are said to have the best and well-experienced faculty members.
It is suggested that if you as a student are dedicated towards your studies and are able to work hard on your own then no matter the institution, you will definitely be successful in your career.
No it is not tough per se but students with a Mathematics background have an upper hand. Students with an Engineering background have already prepared for Quantitative Aptitude and have a good grasp in mathematics.
So for an Arts student to catch up, you have to start preparation at least 1 year before the exam to get full control over the subject. Do not go for online coachings with more than 1000 students in a batch. Try coachings with a smaller batch. This will help the teacher to guide every student individually.
The difference between Arts and Humanities is often seen with ambiguity. Arts is often considered an all-inclusive field. While disciplines from literature to political sciences are considered Humanities.
Contrary to this misconception, Arts cover the study of music, theater, literature, painting, sculpting, etc. While the study of philosophy, art, etc. is considered Humanities.
