No, Holkar Science College might not be a good option for B.Sc. One of my friends studied there and according to him the college lacked many things.
There was no proper infrastructure, Buildings were neglected of proper care and maintenance. The ambience and the student crowd is not healthy. As most of them do not have any ambition or interest in learning new things. The students are also not competitive enough, which makes them less dedicated towards their studies.
Even the faculties are careless and do not bother much if the student is learning anything or not. They often skip classes which ultimately leads to not completing the syllabus.
No cultural events or extracurricular activities take place here. It is suggested that you look for other options, compare them with it and then finalize.
Which is better for a B.Sc Allahabad University or ECC?
For B.Sc, Allahabad University will be better. AU has a better Science faculty. The syllabus and course structure will give you an edge over other universities. Deshbandhu Collge is better for B.Sc. It has excellent science faculty. The college also offers unique courses such as Industrial Chemistry. Can one get into Ravenshaw University for a B.Sc. with 80%?
Yes, you can get admission to Ravenshaw University. But this may vary depending on the Honours subject you are willing to choose.
For some subjects, you can land up in the second cutoff list whereas for others you can get called indirectly for the admissions. Choose your honors subject wisely while filling up the form.
80% and above is sufficient enough to get a seat in dept.s with higher intake capacities.
