Yes, you can get a seat in Physics Hons. in Ravenshaw University.  But may take a 2nd or 3rd list for your name to appear.

Though they have changed the admission process, with an 80% in your CBSE board exams, it won't be hard for you to earn a seat.

The only chances you won't be getting a seat is if this year's average 12th marks have risen higher or none of the first list students are leaving Ravenshaw for other opportunities.

Can one get into Ravenshaw University for a B.Sc. with 80%?

KC

B.Sc. Economics from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (2018)

Yes, you can get admission to Ravenshaw University. But this may vary depending on the Honours subject you are willing to choose.

For some subjects, you can land up in the second cutoff list whereas for others you can get called indirectly for the admissions. Choose your honors subject wisely while filling up the form.

80% and above is sufficient enough to get a seat in dept.s with higher intake capacities.

If you are from the general category, there is a good chance of getting a B.Sc. with a PCM major. If you belong to the reserved category, it should hardly be any problem.

What is the admission process for B.Sc. Hons. Botany in Ravenshaw university and what is the cutoff?

B.Sc. from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (2018)

Admission to Ravenshaw University (RU) is done purely on a merit basis. Your scores in class 10+2 examinations will determine your selection.

First, fill-up the form and wait for the merit list. If you are selected in the first round, you will be needed to submit the documents with a demand draft of the amount mentioned.

If you are in the waiting list then also you will have to come to the college to submit the demand draft, showing your interest in taking admission. If you do not get selected, your draft will be returned.

The cut-off marks usually change, so nothing could be said for sure. To get some idea about it you can check the previous year's cut off marks in the admission brochure.

Which courses will provide you with good placement at Ravenshaw University?

MS
Mithila Sengupta, Posted On : November 16th, 2021
BBA from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (2017)

If you are from a Science background then you can apply for: IST(Info Science and Telecommunication) or ITM (IT Management).

They both have a good placement record. Reputed companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, etc. are the regular participants in their placement program.

The fee is around INR 40,000 for a year, which becomes around 2.5-3 lakh for 3 years. It is better to opt for these than to spend 6 lakh for a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering in any private engineering college. Candidates opting for private colleges can go for Ravenshaw University.

Do students in Ravenshaw University fail to complete graduation within 3 yrs?

PS
Priyadarshini Sen, Posted On : November 16th, 2021
B.Sc. Economics from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (2018)

Yes, there are students who fail to complete graduation within 3 years. This happens only because of two reasons. Either they failed to attend the exam or they never studied for the exam.

The courses here are very organic and subject-oriented. The faculty members are well experienced and are ready to guide you in every way. You don't even have to enroll in any coaching centers to pass the exams, as the lectures are appropriate and enough for that. If you regularly go through your classwork it becomes much easier to score in Ravenshaw University (RU).

Make sure to have 75% attendance at RU, if this is not maintained sitting for your exams will also become problematic.

What is the cutoff mark for BBA at Ravenshaw University?

DR
Diya Rao Posted On : October 22nd, 2021
B.Sc. Computer Science, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (2019)

The cut for BBA at Ravenshaw University varies around 80% for the first round and further decreases with the number of seats available.

  • In case you scored less than or equal to 80% then your name will appear in the waiting list and you will get converted in the second round where the cutoff is at 60%.
  • Successively, the cut-off for the third round goes down to 50%. If the seats are vacant after 3rd round then the students who are on the waiting list get admission.
  • But as far as I know, you would get admission in the third selection round itself because there are plenty of vacant seats in the BBA department.

I hope you score well and above 80% so that you get selected in the first round itself or else you may wait till third.

What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at Ravenshaw University?

RM
Richa Mishra Posted On : October 22nd, 2021
B.A. British Literature & English Literature, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (2020)

One of my friends studied at Ravenshaw University. According to him, being a private university is actually moderate when everything is considered. Let me discuss a few points in detail for a better perspective.

There are few things which you should know if you are in first year so that you can make the right decision as per the situation.

  • If you are in your first year and have full goals to be achieved then do not follow the university curriculum rigorously.
  • You should be aware about CFA, FRM and other courses of international recognition standard which would make a huge difference to your career.
  • Study on your own if you are really interested in gaining knowledge. Even the coaching classes have taught the same thing to the entire batch for decades.
  • Make sure you have good people surrounding you. Make your own study circle for academic purposes.
  • Try and get 2-3 certified courses related to your field which will give you an edge to your profile.

Remember that time is the most important thing in life. Don’t waste it. The decision you will make now will decide your life and future prospects. Enjoy but make good use of the opportunities you get.
