I am sure most people are going to answer this by saying a score of 350+ is likely considered good in the Manipal University Exam.

Well, I have a completely different opinion in this regard. This is because my sister had a score of 297 and yet was able to get into Electrical and Electronics Engineering, at Manipal University. What I mean is, scores certainly are a major factor affecting Your chances of admission, but not the only factor. An excellent profile or interview performance might help you get into your dream college. The fact that she got admission, not in a less demanded branch but EIE was a miracle indeed.

So the key is to work hard and don't let mere scores demotivate you.

Out off 800 a score of around 350/300 is considered a good score in Manipal University examination. But the required cutoff varies depending on various factors, such as competition, branches, availability of seats, etc. Popular branches such as CSE usually have higher cutoff requirements. Manipal University cutoff for CSE stays somewhere around 500.

If we talk about how much a score is a good score to take admission to Manipal University then I should, probably, provide a few details that one of my friends mentioned to me.

He appeared for MET 2019, back then there was no negative marking for a total of 200 marks examination with 200 questions in each set. Later, he got IT in the first counseling with a score of 142 and a total of only eight seats were left.

The paper was definitely difficult and there must be a large number of students who would have lost their chance to take admission in the desired branch because of the low score.

You can refer to last year's cutoff to get an idea of the MET 2021 cut off.

Well, if we have to predict a good score for 2021 admission to Manipal University, then we can anticipate it by not neglecting the increasing difficulty level of the paper because of plenty of competition. Earlier, the paper was a total of 200 marks with no negative marking and this time the total number of marks is 800.

The students who want CSE should score above 560 and a good score to get enrolled in Manipal University could be above 500. The cutoff for this year could go high as the University has been awarded IOE status, which has increased the popularity of the university.
