The level of difficulty of the MIT entrance test, i.e. MUOET is medium. If your concepts are clear you can easily score high marks.

  • MUOET will be easier than JEE Mains. But you should prepare for the JEE Mains level, that way you can do well for any university entrance test.
  • Most questions are based on formulas and cases related to formulas. So, knowing formulas well will definitely help you in the entrance test.
  • One thing that most students attempting MUOET find difficult is speed. If you are fast, you will be able to solve more questions, that way you can score better.

You should keep in mind that easy paper results in more competition, so don’t aim below 150.

Getting admission here is not so difficult. One of my friends told me that if you want to take admission in Manipal Institute of Technology in the top branches, then you should have an aim concerning this. They conduct a test, namely MUOET. It tests your speed and accuracy. If you are taking admission in Computer Science, then you must have a basic sense of formulas.

Besides, the placement is one of the main issues, especially for the branches including ICE, Biotech, Civil, Biomed, IP, and Chemical.

Criteria

CTC per Annum

Highest CTC

43.31 LPA

Lowest CTC

3.5-4 LPA

Average CTC

8-9 LPA

Recruiting Companies

Siemens, Microsoft, Sandisk, Amazon, Amadeus, McKinsey, Citrix, Oracle, VMware, Sell, SAP labs, CISCO, InMobi, Directi, etc.

  • CSE is good enough, and this institute offers decent placement. Faculties are not so good, but they provide MOOCs so that the CSE student could get an option to learn anything that is taught in their classes. Besides, there are coding competitions.
  • IT is also a good branch, but it lacks in visiting the companies at the time of placement. But if you want to study IT at MIT, then consider it as the second-best branch in this institute.
  • ECE, also a good branch, does not offer good placement. Most of the students study ECE to pursue higher studies.
  • They offer the best faculties in the Mechanical Department, but course work is not so competitive. It does not match modern day’s industrial standards.

It is entirely upon you who decides what you want to study. You must visit the official website of MIT to understand the recent cut-off of this institute.
