Joining KIIT will be a better option. The institute gives students the freedom to explore the things that interest them.  It’s easy to score good grades with a little bit of effort. So, you will have a lot of time on your hand to explore and learn.

The institute offers good placements. Top MNCs like Microsoft, CodeNation, Amazon, Vmware, Directi, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in KIIT placement. According to recent placement highlights, students of KIIT received an average CTC of around INR 6.05 LPA.

I will try to give a comprehensive comparison of KIIT IT and CSE at Amrita, based on the reviews I got from my friends at the institutes.

KIIT:

  • The placements here are very good as many top companies like Microsoft, Code Nation, Amazon, Directi, VMware have been visiting the campus during placements. You can easily get a job in any of these companies if you prepare well enough and stay confident during your interview.
  • The faculty here is very good but their teaching method is not much appreciated by the students. According to my friends, one teacher tried to change this environment by bringing some new ideas of teaching, but many students ended up bunking most of his classes.
  • The programming culture is not great and needs to be improvised. This is one of the disadvantages and due to this, students are facing difficulties in learning and improving their coding skills.
  • You will have lots of freedom in this college where you will get time to do many things on your own and learn about various other things rather than just academic stuff. This is one of the biggest advantages.
  • In KIIT, getting good grades is not a difficult task and even if you study seriously just a few days before your exams then also you can manage to score 9+ GPA. So, you can dedicate your whole semester to making projects and learning new skills.

Amrita:

I have heard good things about the institute.

  • Amrita definitely has a better programming culture as compared to KIIT. So, for coding, it’s a great option.
  • The peer group of the institute is also quite good.

Hence, KIIT is a very good college where you will get the freedom to explore new things and also continue your hobbies or extracurricular activities like dance, music, and many other things along with your studies. But at KIIT, you need to be self-motivated. Which will come naturally at Amrita, with competitive peers. Now, the choice is yours.
