For liberal undergraduate course, Ashoka University is a better choice. Ashoka University's course format is more flexible. Students can choose their major from a total of 21 per or interdisciplinary options. Ashoka University follows a rigorous pedagogy. The course structure will force you to become more creative.

FLAME offers more freedom in terms of artistic creativity. It’s easier to create and make art supported by the facilities offered at the campus itself.

FLAME University and Ashoka University are liberal universities, which focus on the holistic development of students. Both the universities provide liberal under graduation and post-graduation courses. Which one of them provides better undergraduate courses over the other could be decided only by considering the following factors:

  • Placement: Both Ashoka and FLAME have active placement history. Even though Ashoka University was established much later to FLAME university last year it had a placement percentage of 100 percent. Average salary package range between Rs 6 Lakhs to Rs 9 Lakhs per annum. Top recruiters were Mckinsey & Company, Deloitte, Star TV, Central Square Foundation. The placement percentage of FLAME was 96 percent and the average salary package was Rs 7.01 Lakhs per annum. Top recruiters were Radio Mirchi, HDFC, TCS Consulting, Info Edge India, Vedanta Resource, etc.

  • Faculty: Both universities have a student-faculty ratio of 1:10. Both have well-experienced faculties who graduated from reputed universities such as Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, etc.

  • Course structure: Each university has different course structures. FLAME University course structure comprises of Foundation Courses, Specialization Courses, Experiential learning courses, and optional Open elective courses. The first year of the course is divided into four terms rather than a semester. In Ashoka University the course structure comprises of Foundation courses, Major courses (including Inter-disciplinary Majors), and Co-curricular courses. FLAME University provides experiential learning which is not present at Ashoka University. On the other hand, Ashoka University provides an interdisciplinary major which is lacked in FLAME University. Ashoka University provides major or minor courses in Philosophy and Lifeskills Education while FLAME University has more courses in Finance.

  • Exposure: Ashoka University provides global exposure over FLAME University. It has connections and partnerships with top universities such as Yale, King’s College London, University of Michigan, Central European University, Columbia University, etc.

  • Fee Structure: Ashoka University fee structure is expensive over FLAME University. Ashoka University fees are about Rs 8.18 Lakhs per annum while FLAME University fees are about Rs 7.7 Lakhs per annum.

When one compares FLAME University and Ashoka University, which is better over others depends on the requirements one is looking for.
