How much are the placements expected to increase in IIEST Shibpur in 4 years from now?

Nowadays the colleges which are providing good campus placements with high salary packages are ranked higher than the colleges which are providing quality education. Colleges like VIT/BIT provide good campus placements but impose less focus on academics. They have hired placement officers who try to contact all types of recruiters through social network sites and then invite them for campus placements. 

Colleges like IISC Bangalore are considered as the best institute of Engineering even better than top IITs, not because of campus placements or providing higher compensation. It earned that reputation by providing quality education.

Placements nowadays are purely based on good networking with big corporations and recruiters and making them happy. This can only be done by the placement cell of the colleges. Also, another fact that’s worth mentioning is that IIEST Shibpur is considered as an ‘Indian Institute’ and ‘Institute of National Importance’ now, for its contribution to the Engineering field of over 160 years. With this stature, placements are likely to improve as reputed IITs or NITs.
