Which college is better for CS, MIT Pune or VIT Pune?

VIT Pune is the better choice for CS than MIT Pune. The syllabus is updated every 3 years depending on the industry requirement rather than following the same old syllabus of UOP.

Some of the advantages and disadvantages of joining VIT Pune are discussed below.

Advantages:

• VIT has great faculty members. For faculty, it is any day better than MIT or even COEP.
• VIT offers many extra-curricular activities. In the past students performed well in events like ROBOCON and SAE SUPRA.
• The laboratories are upgraded with modern instruments.
• Each semester has mini-projects as 2-credit subjects for practical knowledge and application. 
• The institute offers Foreign language courses. This comes in handy for getting international internships and placements.
• VIT has an international student exchange program in association with GEM (like IITs of France) for international exposure. 

Disadvantages:

• The playground on-campus is small.
• Canteen is not good and is very expensive.
• The campus is small as compared to other colleges in Pune. There are very few places to hang out. The campus also has a location-wise disadvantage.
