MBA from Indian School of Business

Doing another MBA from XLRI or ISB, won’t upskill your profile to a huge extent. Unless you are looking for a different specialization, it will be better to invest your money and effort in getting relevant certification and training. Harvard Business School offers various programs for marketing executives, you can check some of these programs.

Also, try to build a network and find mentors who can help you polish your skills.

No, it won’t do any good because spending extra time on an already attained degree won’t guarantee a high-profile job or any other benefits. Instead of going over through the same study phase, you should try to find a way around and develop a working theory, beneficial for your career.

Here are some suggestions you can incorporate in your working plans:

  • Add skills/certifications to your CV - Instead of repeating the course all over again, opt for shorter courses which will increase the arena of knowledge and highlight the acquired skills. Choose to work hard and smart.
  • Pursue a one-year MBA course - If you are willing to invest money for your higher education, you can opt for an one-year MBA course abroad, from a reputed Business school. It will be worth the time and money. You can gain both experience and knowledge which will be a highlight in your CV.
  • Sustain in your corporation - Repeating the course will take more time, energy, and money. If you put the same time and energy in the corporation, it would be more beneficial.

Investing double money and time on the same course will not provide the guarantee of the big breakout in the career which you are eyeing for.

  • Apply for middle-level roles - In today’s time, preference is given to skills, certifications, and experience rather than the brand-value of previous degrees.
  • Prepare a plan for the next phase - You need to accept the gravity of the wrong choice made by you in terms of selecting a college. You should think about it and plan your next step. Think wisely. Work hard to attain the set goals. The degrees wouldn’t matter in front of skills and experience.

Degrees and the brand value of your college won’t be enough. Knowledge and practical application of skills will make you successful, along with hard-work. You should be alert and have efficient networking skills. You should be able to deliver your 100%, and publicize your work.
