The actual scene of IIM Lucknow placement is excellent in terms of salary packages and the overall number of offers. IIM Lucknow alumni usually don’t speak up much about their placement outside, so there are certain rumors and misleading answers over the internet. Some cases of the original scenario are listed below in the key highlights.

The table below gives a brief overview of the placement of IIM Lucknow.

Highest Domestic package offered

?54 LPA

The highest International package offered

?58 LPA

Average Salary offered

?24 LPA (approx)

Key Highlights:

  • There are rumors about the average package offered to be near about 15 LPA, which is actually much more than that.
  • IIM Lucknow doesn’t disclose placement statistics at the end of the session because of certain incidents. There is an incident in which reporters chased down a student who was offered a high salary and published his name. Later on, that student got kidnapped. So, the placement statistics are kept restricted and are destroyed after the placement session.
  • The placement of 2018 has seen an excessive hike in salaries offered due to some economic boost, which is not the case for other years. This resulted in some people believing that not-hard working candidates got massive offers, just because of the high demand.
  • The placement of 2019 was as good as the previous years’. There is a huge number of students receiving offers of more than 20 LPA. MBB & ATK offered 31+ jobs of 30 LPA annual CTC. These are the most prestigious consulting offers. Accenture offered 32 LPA to 10-12 students. Deloitte offered 20 to 25 LPA to almost 35 students.
  • In 2019, a majority of students were already placed during HEPP and only around 150 were left for final placement.
  • There were students with 3 years of IT experience and no good profiles for an MBA, who did receive 24+ LPA job offers. So, prior brands in the CV are not too necessary.
  • The Lowest package is around 11-12 LPA in 2019. Almost all average hardworking students successfully receive 18+ LPA offers.
  • The average salary offered to date is close to 24 LPA, which includes a fixed salary and bonus.
  • Comparing IIM Lucknow and FMS, the 30-35 offers from MBB & ATK in IIM Lucknow may be less in the case of FMS (less than 5).

These are some of the information which is available from IIM Lucknow students and faculties. Though it has great figures, still an institute should not only be judged on basis of its placement, it can have a lot more to offer. Students get to learn a lot from their batch mates and curriculum throughout the two years of MBA.
