IIM Lucknow strives to provide Scholarships to every student, no matter what their financial background may be. IIM Lucknow Scholarships have been an ultimate source of support to the students with an excellent academic background and a low family income.

Need-based Scholarships Offered by IIM Lucknow

IIM Lucknow offers a set of special need based scholarships for students especially whose academic background have been excellent but family income is an issue. 

• For students whose gross family income combined (self, parents and spouse(if any)) is less than INR 4 LPA, IIM Lucknow provides special need based scholarships. 
• The Need-based scholarships are provided post verification of a family’s income through certain factors like a candidate's past earnings (if any), the size of their student loans etc. 
• The students shall be finalized for IIM Lucknow Scholarships based upon a merit basis for a period of at least a year. 
• IIM Lucknow prefers to disperse the Need based Scholarships to students having a good academic record as defined by the institute.
• The need based scholarships shall be given away by IIM Lucknow as a fee waiver to the deserving candidates.

Complimentary Scholarships 

Apart from the need based scholarships offered by IIM Lucknow, there are some other variants of financial assistance that students could avail .

• The very first source of availing financial support is from legal authorities like the Government of India. 
• The State and Central Government officially disperses the Scholarships for students who have been good in academics but low on finance due to some reasons. 
• IIM Lucknow accepts and even paves a way to students to be able to get such scholarships for their career progress. 
• Another form of utilizing the Scholarship facilities is from renowned industries or corporations. 
• One more way through which students with low finance could avail better learning apart from just IIM Lucknow scholarships is through Alumni. 
• Many Alumni and corporate bodies provide financial aid to needy and deserving students based on some genuine terms and conditions.

Fellowship Programmes

In addition to IIM Lucknow Scholarships and financial assistance provided by other official bodies, there are some fellowship programmes which include fellowship grants.

Fellowship Grant

• All resident Indian scholars admitted to the programme are given fellowship allowance up to four and a half years.
• Scholars are provided with a fellowship stipend of INR 35,000 per month during I and II year. The stipend will continue until the scholar's successful clearance of Comprehensive Exam at the end of the second year.
• For the rest of the period of the programme (i.e. III year onwards) the stipend of INR 40,000 per month will be provided after the successful completion of comprehensive examination in III year.

Contingency Grant

• All resident Indian scholars admitted to the programme are given contingency allowance up to four and a half years.
• A contingency grant of INR 10,000 per annum in I and II year, and INR 15,000 per annum during III and IV year of the programme. This grant will be available for purchase of books, stationery, computer hardware/softwares etc.
• A one-time computer purchase grant of INR 50,000, which may be availed before the end of course work.

Conference Support

• A total combined travel grant / conference registration grant amount of INR 1,40,000 :-

(i) to attend one international conference after submitting the thesis proposal, 

(ii) to attend a maximum of one domestic conference each in III and IV year, and an additional travel grant of INR 10,000/- in III or IV year 

iii) to attend a domestic Doctoral Consortium or the proposed annual inter-IIM Doctoral Consortium/Doctoral consortia organized by IIMs/IISc/IGIDR.

Miscellaneous Financial Support

• Reimbursement of annual membership fee (scholar/ student rates) of only one national and only one international professional society during III and IV year.
• Reimbursement of travel/boarding/lodging and local conveyance expenses for case-writing and field based research during III and IV year, subject to a maximum of INR 50,000.
• The Institute also provides certain additional facilities for married FPM scholars whose families are residing on campus. This includes reimbursement of family health insurance premiums. 
• The combined health insurance cover of INR 100,000 for the candidate, her/his spouse and two children is being offered from the Institute. The premium payable for INR 100,000 cover is reimbursed.

How to apply for IIM Lucknow Scholarships?

In order to apply for the IIM Lucknow Scholarships, visit the official website from where you wish to avail the financial aid. Keep in mind the important steps while applying for scholarships at IIM Lucknow or any other colleges:-

Step 1:- Visit the official website iiml.ac.in or any other official website and look for the scholarship/ financial assistance you are wishing to utilize for yourselves. 

Step 2:- Documentation part if very necessary before you go for submitting your scholarship request. Hence you should have the basic documents required for verification like i) Scanned copy of photograph, ii) Scanned copy of 10th and 12th marksheets (and graduation if applying for post graduate program) iii) Proof of family’s income and identity proof as mentioned by the institute.
