The trend of Climate Science and Technology is much higher in the Western world as compared to the Eastern world. However, China, Singapore, Japan, and Australia are among the countries that are investing heavily in the field of climate change. By mid-2020-2030, even India will understand the dangers of climate change. This is when such courses will become popular even in India.

At IIT Bhubaneswar, the data for M.Tech Climate Science and Technology placements 2023 was quite promising.

M.Tech IIT Bhubaneswar (2019)

There is no job scope after doing an M.Tech in climate science and technology at IIT Bhubaneswar. This branch is not for the ones who want to have a job and a secure guaranteed amount of money in their hands after the end of the month.

MTech Climate Science and Technology:

Until and unless you opt for the Ph.D., this branch does not have many career prospects. The teachers at IIT Bhubaneswar are good and experienced. But they try to pursued students to do their Ph.D. under their guidance after the completion of the course.
If you want to remain only in the research work or academics you can surely opt for this branch.
From the placement perspective, this branch has only 10% placements which are minimal. Also, for acquiring these jobs you should have very high knowledge of programming because getting a placement in IIT without any programming knowledge is not possible.
Moreover, in the next coming years, the branch would probably shut down and this is the reason you should not consider this branch.
