How much marks should I score in the BITS-HD exam (M.E. in Civil Engineering) to get an admission to BITS Pilani or Hyderabad campus?

The cutoff for BITS- HD is not fixed. It changes on a yearly basis depending on the difficulty level of the question paper.

Both BITS Pilani and Hyderabad campus considers GATE scores too for admission. This makes the cutoff unpredictable since most of the top students can take admission through Gate leaving some space for BITS HD score. However, the previous year’s cutoff was 150 by 300 in civil structural engineering that could be considered a safe test score but depends completely on the competition of that year.

The table below shows the cutoff of the last five years for Civil Engineering in BITS HD.

Last year the cut off for 150 but that will not remain fixed since it will change again in the coming next year. That depends completely upon the competition and the competitors. In the year 2018 BITS decided to take admission based upon the GATE scores as well as the BITS HD exam.

So, it is hard to predict how many marks you should score to secure admission to the Civil Structure branch at BITS campuses.
