Now, IIT Bombay has 2 main ways to offer internships to its students.

Ekalavya Internship Program:

Suitability: This is most suitable for those who are completing the 3rd year only. However, it may also be suitable for 2nd-year students with exceptionally good academic performance.

Procedure: 

1. Apply for the internship.
2. If you get selected for the first round., you will have to wait for the second round
3. The second round is an Online Test. Take help from seniors during preparing for this round. 
4. You get selected finally once you clear their second round.

Write an email to the professor

This may sound like an ineffective technique to get an internship when in reality it’s the most under-rated, under-used tool for grabbing an internship abroad. But one must keep in mind that this method is not definitely easy as it depends on a number of factors. • Don't lose hope after one or two emails go rejected 
• Don't contact two professors in the same department
• Be specific about the area you want to intern in
• Start your internship hunting early
• Target the right country
