While choosing an engineering college in karnataka shall I go for autonomous or VTU?

If you are getting admission into a reputed college, it’s better to choose autonomous rather than VTU The syllabus and the academic calendar are made by the college. The course structure is flexible enough for pursuing internships and other courses.

VTU syllabus is old and outdated. The coursework also doesn’t leave much time for doing anything other than academics.

It is better to choose an autonomous college rather than VTU.

The VTU syllabus is old and outdated. It's very tough to secure a good percentage because your marks depend on evaluators.
Revaluations are not taken seriously and if you are lucky enough you'll get a score you deserve otherwise it will be a complete waste.
In autonomous colleges, you can score better pointers and the syllabus will be made by the college, this will be better compared to VTU.
The schedule is good and flexible where you will have time for internships and other courses.
Students aiming for corporate jobs should go for autonomous institutions, due to better industrial exposure.

Therefore opting for an autonomous college is better as students here have an edge over the VTU. These students usually have a pointer system and get good grades whereas for VTU students scoring even 70–75% is a hassle.
