Studied at Delhi School of Economics

In terms of MA Economics, there is no difference between Delhi University and Delhi School of Economics. The MA in Economics degree offered by DU is through DSE since it is the Economics department of Delhi University. It is one of the most-sought after Economic schools in the country and offers excellent education in the field.

B.A. Economics, University of Delhi (2016)

Delhi School of Economics is a highly sought after college for MA in Economics which is affiliated to DU. However, DSE is not the only college under DU that offers a MA in Economics. There are few other colleges like St. Stephen College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College, Hans Raj College, etc that also offer MA programs in Economics.

The entrance exam for the program at DSE is the same as the rest which is conducted by DU. Candidates get selected to DSE or other DU colleges based on the merit list formed by DU.

However, the career prospect and placement opportunities at DSE is better than the rest. The placement rate of DSE is around 80-90% each year and the average CTC range between 6-10 LPA.
