Delhi School of Economics Admissions 2023 is based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores which is conducted by NTA for all UG and PG programmes. For all UG courses, aspirants need to appear for CUET UG and For all PG programs except MBA admissions applicants are required to appear for CUET PG. For DSE MBA admissions, CAT is accepted followed by GD-PI extempore. Once the CUET results are out, Candidates need to register themselves on Delhi University’s Admission Portal - admission.uod.ac.in and fill out the desired courses and college preferences. For UG admissions, seat allocation will be done through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).
Admissions to Ph.D./MPhil is based on an entrance test by DU, however, applicants who cleared CSIR/UGC-NET including JRF, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE need to directly appear for the PI round.
For PG admissions, 50% of total seats are to be filled on a merit basis in their qualifying examination for those students who did their bachelor’s degrees from Delhi University and the remaining 50% of seats are to be allocated on the basis of CUET PG scores. DSE offers two programs at the UG level for the duration of three years, namely B.A (Hons.) in Economics & B.A Program. Students seeking admission to DSE B.A (Hons.) in Economics must complete 10+2 level with 60% marks in aggregate. To pursue DSE B.A Program, candidates are required to have 40% marks in aggregate from a recognized board of education. The final selection will be done on the basis of CUET marks followed by an e-counselling process.
Delhi School of Economics UG Eligibility Criteria
- For DSE B.A (Hons.) Economics, candidates must have 60% marks in 10+2 level from a recognized board.
- To pursue DSE B.A Program, Candidates are required to complete a 10+2 level with at least 40% marks in the aggregate from a recognized board of education.
Delhi School of Economics UG Selection Process
Delhi School of Economics accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission to the UG program. The final selection will be done through the e-counseling process.
- CUET comprises 3 sections, the first section includes language, the second is based on ‘Domain-Specific Topics’ & the third section is for the General Knowledge which will be required for admission to BA program only.
- Students must appear in at least one language out of 33 languages.

- For B.A (Hons.) Economics: Candidates must take a test in Mathematics in CUET. The obtained score will be calculated on the basis of marks achieved in language, Mathematics & other two subjects.
- For BA Program: Candidates must appear in the entrance test in any one language from section one and in any three subjects from the other section. Merit will be calculated on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the same subject and language.
Admission through Sports and Extracurricular Activities (ECA): Candidates must appear in the performance test along with CUET. The selection will be made on the basis of the combined score of CUET (25%) and performance test (75%). Certificates will also be considered for the same along with the CUET score.

Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Admission Process 2023
Delhi University has introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for admission to UG courses for all its affiliated colleges. The entire process is explained below:
Phase 1: CSAS Application Form
- Aspirants are required to fill the CSAS application form on the centralized admission portal by paying a one-time non-refundable application fee.
- ECA and sports quota candidates will have to pay an additional fee.
Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences
- Second phase will start after the results of the CUET examination are declared.
- After the CUET Result declaration, eligible candidates will have to select the courses and fill the preference of desired colleges on the centralised CSAS portal.
Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission
- Merit list will be declared on the basis of CUET scores.
