There is no such thing as a best IIT as each IIT has its unique strengths and weaknesses. Here is how I grade the top engineering colleges in India

• The 5 oldest IITs, IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Madras, and KGP are considered to be in the top layer. Even BITS Pilani and IIIT Hyderabad fall into this category.
• The second level of IITs includes IIT Roorkee, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and IIT BHU.

IIT Madras has a great placement record. The batch of 2021 received an average CTC of INR 20.58 LPA and the highest CTC of INR 70 LPA.

While talking about IIT Madras I am pretty sure the majority of people know about it. It is one of the most prominent institutes of India which every engineer wants to join.

• IITM has the biggest cultural fest and the students run it mainly and they get opportunities to hold positions of great responsibility which boosts their skills in the coming future.

I would not hesitate to say that studying in IIT madras is extremely beneficial as we get to know a lot about South Indian culture and get enough industrial exposure. This will eventually help you to get accustomed to the corporate world in Madras and all over India.
