IIT BHU placements are decent for Ceramic Engineering. But very few students get core placements. Tata Steel is among the core recruiters that take part in the campus drive.

Most students are recruited in non-core job profiles such as Software Developer, Data Scientist, etc. The highest CTC offered for the students of this branch is around INR 38 LPA.

Being an old institute IIT BHU has a large alumni base which results in good placements. According to 2019 placement statistics of IIT BHU, a total of 43 students got placement offers from the Ceramic Department. Whereas the overall placement rate at IIT BHU was 71% and students got an average placement package of around 8.19 LPA.

Ceramic industries are growing at a very rapid rate as it is used in building materials for many digital appliances. But not many students venture out in this field due to the perks offered by the IT sector. Yet, the number of such students is growing every year due to increasing opportunities. Cohesity, Applied Materials, and Texas Instruments are some of the recruiters who offer core placements for Ceramic engineering.

Besides that students of Ceramic engineering also have non-core placement opportunities. Non-core comprises those fields which require little or no knowledge of Ceramics. Examples are the IT sector, Aviation, Government Services, and the list goes on. Tech and corporate giants Oracle, Cisco, Qualcomm, Flipkart, and Capgemini hire a good fraction of total students every placement season. Also, many students opt to work in startups and students also go for higher studies.
