B.Tech (Civil Engineering) from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar (2020)

NIRMA and PDPU are both renowned for the Mechanical Engineering course, not only in a state in the country. These two are among the few best across the country. There are many perspectives to be included if to compare these two. Criteria like placements, opportunities are few to include.

Placement:

PDPU:

If you got the skills then PDPU is one of the best options for B. Tech in mechanical engineering due to their Placement records.

  • Almost 96% of students were placed in on-campus placement drives which is a wonderful statistic.
  • An average of 5 LPA was offered with a maximum of 16.6 LPA.
  • Big Industrial Giants like Reliance Industries Limited, TATA Chemical Limited has offered jobs in PDPU.

Nirma University

Placement opportunities in NIRMA are considered the best among a few universities in the Country. It is one of the most renowned institutes in Mechanical due to its placement.

  • A total of 50 companies visited NIRMA for on-campus placement in which hundreds of job offers were made.
  • Almost 95% of students were placed in on-campus placement drives.
  • There were 7 pre-placement offers in total.
  • An average of 8 LPA was offered with a maximum of 16 LPA
  • Big industrial companies like HP, Infosys, Reliance, are among the few who offered jobs in NIRMA.

Faculty

Both the universities have a very well versed and able teaching staff and facilitated department.

  • The department is being run by well qualified and experienced faculty members with many years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Faculty members are well qualified in both the universities as most of them are Ph.D. holders.

Industrial and International Relations:

For better opportunities and higher studies, the universities must have affiliations and good relations with other higher institutes and industrial sectors.

  • PDPU has collaboration with many reputed international universities Like Georgia Tech University, the University of Regina (Canada) are a few examples.
  • Mechanical students at PDPU get opportunities to do their academic projects under reputed organizations like ISRO, IPR (Institute of plasma research), and many other reputed organizations.
  • Nirma University has collaborated with many reputed industries like TATA, JK Lakshmi Cement, ISRO, and ICR.

Looking at the statistics we can say that PDPU is a better university due to its international relations that will provide students many opportunities in their careers, While if Placement is considered NIRMA has a slight edge over PDPU. It now depends on the student, if someone wants a higher education, and opportunities PDPU is best, If someone is interested more in Placements NIRMA is best.
