How is the placement of IIT BHU (Varanasi) mining branch?

The placement scenario for the Mining branch at IIT BHU is good. Around 75% of the students get placement offers. Last year, the highest CTC offered to the students was 40 LPA. While the average and lowest CTC for the branch is 12 LPA and 6 LPA respectively. Some of the core companies that frequent the placement drive are Coal India, Hindalco, etc. Last year, around 70% of students got placement offers.

Students are placed in well-known companies ranging from Core Mining Companies to Non-Sector such as IT/Software, Consultancy, Finance, Management, Banking, Education, Sales, etc. Average Pay Packages is generally 8 Lacs CTC. Apart from Placements Students also go for Higher Studies in M.S/MTech and Ph.D. in top Institutions while some Crack one of the toughest exams such as GATE, UPSC, CAT, and pursue their carrier in Government Sector, IIM’s, etc.
