Which AIIMS is better excluding AIIMS of new Delhi?
AIIMS Delhi is no doubt the best medical institute in India. However, given the extremely high cutoff and competition for admission to AIIMS Delhi, it is quite difficult for a student to get into AIIMS Delhi for popular courses like MBBS and B.Sc Nursing.
Apart from AIIMS Delhi, one can opt for several other AIIMS across the country which have a lesser cutoff and competition. Choosing the better AIIMS totally depends on multiple factors such as the individual preference of the student, infrastructure, location, hostels, etc.
Based on rankings, AIIMS Jodhpur is the second-best ranked AIIMS after AIIMS Delhi followed by AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Patna, and AIIMS Bhopal. AIIMS Jodhpur has been ranked 13th in India by NIRF 2023 followed by AIIMS Bhubaneswar and AIIMS Rishikesh at 17th and 22nd positions, respectively.
AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the most developed AIIMS with an excellent infrastructure. The institute has a beautiful campus with a good patient load. It is equally popular for extra-curricular activities. AIIMS Jodhpur hostels are another big reason to choose the institute owing to the facilities provided. Similarly, AIIMS Patna, Bhubaneswar, and Bhopal are other top AIIMS for students with a very good patient load and excellent faculty. The hostel rooms are quite good with proper hygiene and comfort.
All of these AIIMS are considered the top AIIMS after AIIMS Delhi, however, the choice may vary depending on individual preferences and needs of the students.

I can not say which is the best AIIMS after AIIMS Delhi. But as a student of AIIMS Patna, I would like to shed some light on my college-
AIIMS Patna is one of the six AIIMS which were established in 2012. It is spread across 134 acres, and can be easily expanded further. 2500+ patients are received in the hospital OPD per day. AIIMS Patna even has its own helipad for the transfer of emergency patients and border soldiers.
The Admin Building has 4 LT rooms with a projector, mic and loud speakers in each. The college has access to Virtual Cadaver, and the faculty are very supportive and highly qualified.
There are a total of 11 hostels, along with residency areas. The hostel rooms are single seater, and the wifi facility is good. For cleaning, the CHS staff is available till 8 pm in the premises. The hostel mess serves decent quality food. There is also a restaurant by Moti Mahal, and the college canteen.
These are just some of the highlights of AIIMS Patna. It is a really good college which offers really good academic facilities and overall exposure.

After AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal is the preferred choice for most students. AIIMS Bhopal offers good academics. The institute has participated in many international research projects. Students from the institute have visited WSO, Netherlands, and other popular events.
The campus of AIIMS Bhopal is located in the middle of the city. It is quiet and ideal for studies.
AIIMS Bhopal has one of the biggest fests in central India, i.e. RETINA. People from various parts of the country participate in the fest.

One of my friends was in AIIMS Bhopal and had an excellent experience. The faculty and syllabus are nearly the same at these institutions. Here's why you can choose AIIMS Bhopal:
- It is located in Bhopal city's center with a huge campus of about 143 acres.
- Bhopal is one of the best cities in India.
- You can explore lakes, tourist spots, and dams like Kiva.
- You'll get to practice a lot because the patient in-flow is stable and they come from all over Madhya Pradesh.
- College fest is mind-blowing with the top-notch celebration. 'Retina' is the annual fest and it's known to be the 'biggest' in central India.
You can keep it as your own 2nd option if you are unable to join AIIMS Delhi.
